More Spitlers got to see the school in November, 2008

dannypam > In November, 2008 Pam and I, along with my Dad Irvin, and my sister Kay, visited the school and brought along our friends Melissa Fox and Cheryl Turner. On our first day we were the special guests for an elaborate ceremony.
dannypam > We received a very warm welcome from the children and the villagers who lined the roadway leading into the school.
dannypam > Young students welcome Kay at the entrance to the school.
dannypam > In addition to the brightly decorated stage Sarin had arranged for a canopy with seating for over a hundred so that all of the local villagers could attend the ceremony .
dannypam > The ceremony began with the arrival of His Excellancy Sieng Num, the highest ranking politician in the province.
dannypam > The ceremony began with a blessing from local monks.
dannypam > We were all seated on the large stage.
dannypam > Sarin acted as my interpreter as I brought welcome greetings from America and thanked our teachers and parents for their contributions to making the school a success, and I honored Sarin for his passion and commitment to this project.
dannypam > We were entertained with a traditional Khmer dance performance by children from a local orphanage.
