The first day is usually about getting to know your fellow travelers. After a couple of hours on the bus we knew this group was going to be a lot of fun.

On the first day we stopped at a natural hot springs where the water is heated by a nearby volcano.

We all changed into our suits and waded into the hot water.

Our first animal experience was this roadside meeting of the interesting little coatimundi.

We arrived high in the rain forest and stayed at Eco-Lodge. Mike and Pam immediately met Leaper the dog, and they joined in with a group howl.

It was cool and windy, but Lake Arenal was beautiful and we sailed and kayaked through the morning.

Larry and Kathy get their kayaking skills cranked up.

After spending the morning on the Lake we stopped at this beautiful garden.
